There is Thermal wind at Carteau, France. Works in almost directions. Great with Mistral, but gusty. Wind usually blows from SE and NW on the spot. The best moments to come to Carteau, France are April, May, June, July, August, September and October .
Beach and Tide Conditions
Kitesurfing conditions do not depend on Tide on this spot. Carteau, France is a Shallow and Flat spot. The launching/landing area is reported to be of Medium size. Big, hard sand area. Big grassy rigging area. Lots of space. Big shallow and flat water area. In Mistral flattest water behind the harbor mole. With swell a nice, small wave in the middle of the bay, called "Josette", but very rare.

From Nimes take N568, then N268 to Port-Saint-Louis du Rhone. Here drive southeast towards Plage Napoleon, and once you crossed the little bridge in the harbor, keep on going straight onto Avenue de la 1ere DFL. After a curve to the right, turn left onto Route de Carteau. Drive to its end and see the big meadow to the right. Park anywhere close to the water.
